This allowed me to indulge in my passion for playing with fabrics, paint colours etc and assisting people to create wonderful interior/exterior, colour and design schemes. Over the years I have attended various paint and interior design seminars and workshops and continue to expand and update my design knowledge and keep up with the latest design trends. I have been involved in curtains and blinds for the last 5 years and I enjoy helping clients to select the right window treatments to best suit their practical and environmental needs in their homes yet at the same time continue to reflect their own individual "creative" personality and style. That was supposed to be a 2 year transfer.....20 years later I am still here in Wellington and have owned Creative Curtains with my husband Barry and daughter Lorraine for the past 10 years. My passion for fabrics has not wained and I can't resist all the new and changing styles. I enjoy passing on the knowledge to anyone who is interested.  Barry Deavin - Director Hi, my name is Barry Deavin. I am a Director and Co-Owner of Creative Curtains. My experience in the curtain and blind business spans 35 years covering all aspects from sales to installation and everything in- between. My ability to create just about anything to suit my clients needs has earnt me the nickname "McGyver"  Shane Sammons - InstallerHi all, my name is Shane and I am the installer here at Creative Curtains. I have been fitting window coverings for over 3 years now and have come from the building industry (20yrs). I really enjoy my work and meeting new people everyday. Beryl Kreig - Workroom Manager  Hi My name is Beryl and I have been in the sewing trade for 44 years. I have been making curtains drapes and blinds with all the accessories for the past 2 years. It is something that I very much enjoy as the styles are many and varied which makes my job really interesting. I take great pride in my work and ensure everything that leaves the workroom is of the highest standard of workmanship.
